Privacy Policy

Zodessa is a chat-first AI astrologer for iPhone, made by Nashua Labs. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it. The short version: your data exists to run your readings, and we do not sell it, run ads against it, or track you across other apps.
What we collect
- Birth data. Your birth date, time (if you know it), and place. Your natal chart is computed on your device. The chart and birth data are sent to our server only to generate your readings.
- Conversations. Your chats with Zodessa are stored so the conversation can continue across sessions.
- Memory. Zodessa keeps a structured summary of things you have shared (for example, your work situation or relationships) so readings stay personal. It never stores health diagnoses, explicit content, or details of a crisis conversation.
- Account. You sign in with Apple. We store the identifier Apple gives us. If you use Apple's private relay email, we never see your real address.
- Synastry. If you run a compatibility reading, the other person's birth data and the generated report are stored so you can revisit and share it.
- Notifications. A device push token and your chosen delivery hour, if you turn daily readings on.
- Purchases. Your subscription status. Payment itself is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details.
How we use it
To generate your readings and chat responses, deliver your daily reading, run compatibility reports, and manage your subscription. That is the whole list.
Readings and chat responses are generated by an AI model from Anthropic. Your chart and relevant conversation context are sent to Anthropic's API to produce each response, under an agreement that does not permit them to use it for advertising.
What we never do
- No selling or renting your data.
- No advertising and no ad tracking. The app contains no ad SDKs and does not request the advertising identifier (IDFA).
- No logging of your birth data or conversations to analytics or third-party logging services.
Who processes your data
We use a small set of infrastructure providers to run the service: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and storage), Anthropic (AI responses), Apple (sign in, notifications, payments), and RevenueCat (subscription management). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
Security and retention
All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS everywhere; zodessa.app cannot be reached insecurely). Data is retained while your account exists.
Deleting your data
Settings → Delete my data, inside the app. This deletes your chart, birth data, conversations, memory, reports, and server account. There is no undo, and nothing lingers in a marketing database, because there is no marketing database.
Children
Zodessa is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
